Terms

Terms of using this site

These terms cover your use of this free theory test practice site. By using it you agree to them. They explain what the practice material is and is not, who owns the content, what you may do with it, and what we ask of everyone who visits.

Using the site

The site is free to use, with no sign-up. You can read the lessons and take the practice tests as often as you like. We may change, add or remove material at any time, and parts of the site may sometimes be unavailable.

Practice questions are for practice

We write our questions ourselves from the rules the theory test covers. We do not promise that they match the questions, wording or topic mix of the real theory test, and a good score here does not guarantee a pass.

We work to keep every rule and figure accurate and sourced, but laws and agency rules change. Before you rely on a detail for your own test or licence, check the source we link beside it.

Independence

An independent practice site. Not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the Road Safety Authority, Prometric, the NDLS or the National Transport Authority.

Who owns the content

  • The text, questions, explanations and diagrams we create are ours. You may quote a short passage with a link back to the page. Please do not copy questions or whole pages into another site, app or course.
  • Irish legislation quoted on the site is Oireachtas material. Contains Oireachtas material, © Houses of the Oireachtas, reused under the Oireachtas (Open Data) PSI Licence (CC BY 4.0). You may reuse that material under the same licence.
  • Road sign images, where shown, come from files on Wikimedia Commons, each credited on the sources and licences page.

Full details are on the sources and licences page.

Acceptable use

When you use the site, please do not:

  • copy questions, lessons or other content in bulk, by hand or with automated tools, to republish them
  • try to break, overload or get around the security of the site
  • use the contact form to send spam, abuse or anything unlawful
  • present our material as coming from, or approved by, the Road Safety Authority or any other public body

Our liability

We provide the site as it is, to help you learn for the theory test. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss that comes from relying on it. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have as a consumer that the law does not allow us to limit.

Governing law
