The Irish Mock Test team, who write and check every lesson, question and guide on this site.
Independent of the bodies that run the test
An independent practice site. Not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the Road Safety Authority, Prometric, the NDLS or the National Transport Authority.
We do not run the theory test and have no access to its questions. When a detail matters for your own test, such as a fee or a booking rule, follow the link to the source we cite beside it.
How the site is funded
The site is free to use, with no sign-up. It is funded by advertising. Labelled sponsored placements and collaborations with driving schools may also appear.
Nobody can pay to change our content, questions, data or conclusions, and we never sell personal data.

What the site covers
Most important first:
- Lessons for each study area of the theory test, explaining the rules in plain words and linking the Irish law behind them.
- Mock theory tests that follow the format of each real test: car, tractor and work vehicle; motorcycle and moped; truck; and bus.
- Numbered practice sets for each test and each topic, so you can work through the questions for your test without repeats.
- Road signs and road markings, with what each one means.
- Data from the Road Safety Authority and the Central Statistics Office, with its source shown beside every figure.
